FAQ

Some curtains are designed to be seen. This one is designed to be felt.

The difference between a polyester curtain and a linen-blend curtain isn't visible from across the room - not really. It's tactile. You walk past it, your hand brushes the fabric, and you register something different from the standard hotel drape. Softer. Slightly irregular. Not perfectly smooth the way synthetics are.

That's the linen doing its job. At 25% linen, 25% cotton, 50% polyester, the CAS367 has enough natural fiber to carry that texture and enough polyester to survive hotel laundry. Pure linen curtains in commercial environments are a maintenance nightmare - they shrink, they wrinkle deeply, they lose fiber integrity after about 20 washes. The polyester backbone prevents all of that. The curtain comes out of the wash at the same dimensions it went in.

The thermal piece

378GSM is dense enough to trap air between the fabric and the window glass. That air layer moderates the room temperature - keeps heat out in summer, keeps warmth in during winter. The effect is measurable on the HVAC bill, not just theoretical. Properties in climates with significant temperature swings between day and night see the clearest savings.

The same density blocks most light. Not total blackout - that requires an interlining - but enough that a standard guestroom with dark-colored CAS367 panels will be dark enough for daytime sleep. Lighter colors let more light through at the weave level. If blackout is a hard spec, go dark or add the lining.

What the linen actually looks like in a room

It doesn't photograph as dramatically as a jacquard or an embossed pattern. The slub texture is subtle - you notice it more in person than in listing photos. That's actually an advantage: the curtain doesn't compete with the view or the furniture. It sits in the background, contributing warmth without demanding attention. Designers who spec this product usually pair it with natural materials elsewhere in the room - wood furniture, stone surfaces, organic bedding textures. It works within a holistic design language rather than trying to carry the room on its own.

Where it falls short

The linen content is hygroscopic. In humid coastal environments or properties where the AC cycles off during low occupancy periods, the fabric absorbs ambient moisture. Without an antimicrobial treatment, that creates a breeding ground for mildew, particularly at the bottom hem where the curtain contacts the floor or window sill. The treatment is available as a spec option. I'd call it mandatory for any property in a tropical or subtropical climate, not optional. The treatment doesn't change the hand feel or the appearance, but it adds one step to the finishing process, which adds about 3-5 days to the lead time.

Colors

Earth tones, warm neutrals, sage greens, muted terracottas, soft grays. The linen texture softens the color appearance - a CAS367 curtain in "charcoal" reads as a warm dark gray rather than a flat black. Custom PANTONE matching is available. The dye absorbs differently into the linen and cotton fibers than into the polyester, so the final color has a slightly heathered appearance rather than a solid, uniform surface. If your designer is expecting a perfectly uniform color across the panel, this product will disappoint them. If they want the natural variation that comes with a blended weave, this is exactly what they're looking for.

MOQ

100 pieces per spec. The blend requires separate yarn sourcing for the linen, cotton, and polyester components, which sets a floor on the production run. Below 100 pieces, the unit cost climbs noticeably. For boutique properties with fewer than 30 rooms, stock the neutral earth tones from existing inventory to avoid the custom-run premium.

The maintenance reality

The CAS367 resists shrinkage and wrinkling better than pure linen, but it's not wrinkle-free. After packing and shipping, the panels will show crease lines. Those typically release within 24-48 hours of hanging in a conditioned room. After laundering, the curtain should be hung immediately rather than folded or stacked, to let the weight of the fabric pull the wrinkles out during drying. Housekeeping teams accustomed to pure polyester curtains that come out of the dryer looking perfect will need to adjust their workflow slightly.
